Author

Ellen Sue Blakey is a writer and published author formerly from Tulsa. She has researched and written pictorial histories for several publishers. Mrs. Blakey has also written two published state histories. She was educated in the public schools of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa.

Contributing Author

Rita Geiger is the Director of Social Studies and Foreign Languages for the Norman Public Schools. She has taught in the Little Rock and Tulsa Public Schools and served as the Social Studies Specialist at the Oklahoma Department of Education prior to moving to Norman. She received a B.A. in history from the University of Arkansas and a M.Ed. in secondary administration from the University of Oklahoma.
