The National Atlas of the United States. Contains printable maps on Congressional districts, federal lands, outline maps, and presidential election maps. There is also an interactive map maker.

The Distance Calculator gives the distance between two cities. The site also gives the exact latitude and longitude measurements of the two cities.

This site at the University of Texas has a huge collection of maps.

This site, a favorite of parents, is as good as the magazine and gives students a warm welcome to geographic concepts and skills without them realizing they are "studying."

Created by the Government Printing Office, this well-designed site introduces children to how the government works. Just choose an age range and explore Ben's Guide to the U.S. Government for Kids. Includes everything from historical documents and Web links to games and activities.

Legislative information on the Internet; good resource for bills being passed, previous congressional hearings, etc.

This site is the federal government statistical information site. You can obtain almost any piece of publicly available statistical data collected by the government. You can also move to regional data and select a state or a county for more localized information.

This website is a good place to start if you are looking for information on or from the federal government.

The home page for the U.S. House of Representatives; it lists member offices, committee offices.
